Described as an artist `in the Northern Romantic tradition`, Piers Browne creates resonant etchings and oil paintings that combine his skills as a landscape `colourist` with his accomplished draughtsmanship. The resulting works represent both a truth in form and the essence and beauty of rural colour. Piers Browne has provided illustrations for several publications, including `William Wordsworth - A Lakeland Anthology` which was awarded equal first in the WH Smith Illustrated Book of the Year Award, 1991. Browne`s solo exhibitions include the Medici Gallery, Royal Festival Hall and Zella Gallery in London. View back catalogue
