The patterns rhythms forms and colours of nature in a microscopic and macroscopic sense have always inspired Fiona. Peripheral vision, a momentary glance at things over looked or discarded will often spark an idea – something from nothing. In a chemistry of vision, memory and observation, the imagery becomes a sort of visual poem, a simplification to draw the eye to an essence. The minimalist pebble etchings allude to mathematical concepts and are based on stones collected on the west coast of Scotland.
